Submit feedback or make a complaint

Use this form if you would like to submit feedback or make a complaint to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP). Please make sure that you have read the ODPP feedback and complaints policy, or Easy English version (PDF, 1.3 MB).

Privacy notice

The ODPP collects personal information from you, including your:

  • name
  • email address
  • address
  • phone number
  • commentary or opinion
  • name of another person(s)
  • relationship to another person(s).

We collect this information to process your request. We will only use your information for this purpose. It will otherwise not be used or disclosed unless authorised or required by law. Your personal information will be handled in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009.

What happens next

We have 3 business days from when we receive feedback or a complaint to inform the victims, witnesses, or family member who has consent on behalf of a victim (for instance if the victim is a child) to:

  • confirm that we received your feedback or complaint
  • give you a reference number(s)

We aim to respond within 30 business days. We may ask you for more information. We will also let you know if the timing changes.

Depending on your feedback or complaint, we may tell you about any action we have taken in response.
