Victim liaison survey

We’d like to hear from you

After your matter is finished, you will receive an email from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) inviting you to complete a short survey (victim liaison survey). This survey is about the service you received from us. It will not ask you any questions about the offence or what happened to you.

About the victim liaison survey

  • The survey takes about 3 to 5 minutes to complete.
  • You’ll be asked up to 20 questions.
  • You can rate your experience on a scale from “1 – Strongly agree” to “5 – Strongly disagree”.
  • The survey will ask about how we communicated with you, how you felt supported, and what it was like being a witness in court (if this applied to you).

Taking part is completely your choice. You can:

  • Stop at any time
  • Skip any question by choosing “Not applicable”
  • Complete the survey later if you change your mind

You can remain anonymous

  • You do not have to give your name or contact details. We won’t know who completed the survey, and we won’t follow up with you unless you ask us to.
  • If you’d like your feedback shared with your victim liaison officer, please include their name. Otherwise, they won’t see your responses.

Other ways to provide feedback

If you want to give a compliment, make a complaint, or ask a question and would like a response, please use our online compliments and complaints form.

How your feedback helps

Your feedback helps us understand how we’re doing and where we can improve. We may also share general findings with other government agencies or the public to help improve the justice system more broadly.

If you’d like the survey emailed to you or have any questions, please contact your victim liaison officer.

We aim to support victims and witnesses by understanding their unique needs and providing personalised services that reflect our values.
